Social & Economic Development
As a contributor to the quality of life in the communities our facilities reside, our goal is to succeed, and with that success to make sure those who work for us and live with us succeed, too.
Our Partners
Areas of Involvement
First and foremost, the community views us as supporters of education and advocates for education reform. In addition to providing generous financial support for private and public education, employees serve in the following organizations: New Schools Inc, SBCSC New Tech Advisory Council, SBCSC Career & Technical Education Committee, Boys & Girls Clubs of SJC, the National Association of Manufacturers, and Advisory Board for Purdue C.T.E.
In addition, we use our on-campus Learning & Discovery Center to provide continuing education opportunities for our employees and a meeting space for community and industry groups.
General Stamping and Metalworks’ leadership is actively involved in several community organizations, including the St. Joseph County Boys and Girls Club, Chamber of Commerce, Fabricators and Manufacturers Association and Precision Metalforming Association. We sponsor two parties per year for one of the local branches of the Boys and Girls Club, including a summer and holiday party. Several employees volunteer to organize, set up and host the parties.
