John M. Marshall

South Bend, Indiana, 03/26/2024 – General Stamping & Metalworks (“GSM”) is pleased to announce the appointment of John M. Marshall as its new President, effective April 8, 2024.

John Marshall joins GSM with a wealth of leadership experience in the manufacturing sector. He has a proven track record of driving business growth, implementing transformational strategies, building strong leadership teams, and delivering operating results.

John is an original member of GSM’s advisory board, and a successor has yet to be named. John most recently served as President & CEO of EarthWay Products, Inc., a manufacturer of turf care equipment based in Bristol, Indiana. He has also held leadership positions with manufacturers of transportation and agricultural equipment, in both privately held and publicly traded firms.

John Axelberg, current GSM President and CEO, shared his thoughts at the conclusion of an extensive search process:  “I am excited to welcome John Marshall to the General Stamping & Metalworks family as our new President,” said Axelberg. “If you had asked me to design the perfect background for GSM’s next President, it would have looked just like John’s.
