South Bend, Indiana – General Stamping & Metalworks (“GSM”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brett Hunter as its Director of Operations.
Brett brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, specializing in plant turnarounds, process improvement, and lean transformations. He has held key operational roles throughout his career, including General Manager at Dragon Tanks and Trailers, Director of Manufacturing at American Cargo Group, and Plant Manager at BorgWarner. Brett’s proven leadership has consistently driven improvements in safety, quality, and profitability across large-scale manufacturing facilities.
As Director of Operations, Brett is responsible for overseeing GSM’s South Bend facility and implementing strategies that enhance safety, efficiency, and overall plant performance. His focus on team development and operational excellence supports GSM’s continued growth and commitment to being a top-tier manufacturing partner.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
